Wonderfully fills hole Spotify is too doofy to fill

Spotify is also still too dense to include the insanely simple feature for some reason. I miss the functionality! Please fix!
A further suggestion for dev(s) after a few months of use- The Notifyer still Notifies even if Spotify is the current window. Only in that case, we don’t need it to work because we can already see what’s playing! Is there a way to have the notification appear only when it detects Spotify is minimized? That would be really smart!

It’s no secret: Spotify releases updates in accordance with some extraterrestrial calendar we civilians don’t have access to, and for people like me who enjoyed the level of detail you could summon in iTunes (before they crapped the bed with the terrible v11 design), we’re still waiting on the small touches to make the music curation process feel more personal in Spotify. Spotify remains very scant on a lot of music information/details, but I found this gem of an extension on the app store doing exactly what it should do- tell you what darn song is playing without having to pull up Spotify. The reason this is so insanely convenient is because Spotify is a gateway to a lifetime of music you don’t know, and I care about obscure artist names.

I’m not sure if this is feasible with our current technology, but I’ve got some ideas for the devs:
Display the album art thumbnail on the notification.
Display buttons on the notification that would allow the starring or saving (“+”) of that song, right there on the spot.
